Redemptive Trials

A moment of prayer...

Sometimes we want to pray, but it is hard to find the words. "A moment of prayer..." posts allow you to borrow a prayer when you have no words of your own.

(Halee Wood journals many of her prayers. This prayer was originally prayed on 5/28/13.)

"Therefore, strengthen the hands that are weak and the knees that are feeble, and make straight paths for your feet, so that the limb which is lame may not be put out of joint but rather be healed." Hebrew 12:12-13

Father God, I am so thankful to have You - that you have never given up on me. You have continued to mold and shape me. With each new trial and hardship, Your love, grace and silversmithing continues.

Help my mind to only stir on the things in which you are passionate rather than the things of "the flesh". Help me to shed roots of bitterness. I give to you the physical, spiritual and emotional needs of my family. All these things are more than I can do on my own, so I lay it at Your feet. May my heart and the hearts of many others be lifted and relationships renewed.

"God does not view our adversity as the tragedy we interpret it to be... God sees redemptive power in our trials." In Touch Daily Devotional

Lord, because you are the only one that knows every detail and also has the power to restore, I rely on You to mold and shape my thoughts and decisions... help me to see each trial as You see it and to lean into the healing, redemptive power in which You have planned for me.
