Run with Endurance

After meeting with clients this week, I am literally SO PUMPED UP!

Can I tell you about Katie*? When Katie and I began meeting a few months ago, she wondered if she was "unhelpable". All I have to say is that somebody lied to that girl... she is kicking butt and taking names.

With more than a week to go before the deadline she set for her initial goals, she has met every one of them - and these were not easy goals, but the thing that is most interesting to me is her 3rd goal... the goal we rarely discussed. This goal was about seeing herself as God created her to be and gaining confidence.

In pursuing her other goals through biblical principles and prayer, Katie naturally accomplished goal #3 almost effortlessly. It is like icing on the cake, and it is the goal that she and I both believe will have the most lasting impact on her. Having this understanding and perspective changes EVERYTHING!

Not every session is filled with people meeting every goal - but it is just so dang awesome that we do not have to run our races alone. Even for those who had harder stories this week, each of them have an array of hope. Thank you to those who invite me into your story.

"...Let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith..." Hebrews 12:1b-2a (emphasis mine)

When you think of Katie, do you envision someone younger with loads of energy? Katie actually has a few decades of life experience on me, and she is still growing. Don't let age, or any circumstance, be the predictor of when the abundance of life ends!

I love my job. ❤

  1. The WORD and biblical living will get you to the goal every time. Great story

    1. Thanks, Faye. It really is true. I never want to ever over simplify difficult and traumatic circumstances, but this way has never failed me and I’ve seen the beauty of it in so many others’ lives as well. God is just a “knock-your-socks-off” kinda guy. Love it so much.

  2. Thank you Halee! You are always SO inspiring😊
