Serving through grief

A moment of prayer... This is a prayer of grief.

“A moment of prayer..." posts allow you to borrow a prayer when you have no words of your own.

(Halee Wood journals many of her prayers. This prayer was originally prayed on 5/8/12, about 4 months after the death of her son.)

For I am the Lord your God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you 'Do not fear, I will help you!'" Isaiah 41:13

Here I am, Lord. My brain is every which way this morning, but I know I can only truly be filled by You.

Lord, even though I am a leaky bucket, please fill me and use me. I really long to do something valuable, yet I am SO weak. Give me patience and discernment. I have so little to give, but I pray that what I do give will be adequate and sufficient through Your grace. May what I have to give still be successful in growing the Kingdom. May I take the time and steps to heal, yet help me to not be paralyzed by self-pity.

I love You, Lord, and I just want to be wherever and whatever stage of the game You want me to be. Amen.
